Cancellation Policy

Standard cancellations

For most reservations, guests may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled check-in time (local property time). Cancellations made within 48 hours of check-in may forfeit the first night of the stay or the amount specified in your booking confirmation.

Partial refunds for early departures are generally not provided unless required by law or expressly agreed in writing.

Property-specific terms

Some homes, peak-season stays, holidays, or promotional rates may require longer notice periods or follow a stricter cancellation schedule. Always review the cancellation terms displayed before you complete payment.

If your confirmation email includes different deadlines or refund percentages, those terms apply to your reservation.

How to cancel

To cancel a reservation, contact our team at info@staycharlottesville.com or (434) 977-0442 with your confirmation number and guest name. Cancellations are effective when acknowledged in writing by Stay Charlottesville.

Refunds, when applicable, are processed to the original payment method and may take several business days to appear on your statement.

Force majeure and extraordinary events

In rare cases involving severe weather, government travel restrictions, or other events beyond reasonable control, we will work with guests on a case-by-case basis. We are not obligated to provide refunds beyond the cancellation terms accepted at booking unless required by applicable law.
