Afton Mountain Vineyards Guest House is the perfect way to celebrate a romantic weekend or a relaxing getaway! This two bedroom, two bath cottage is located in the heart of a beautiful mountain vineyard. The views that surround this property are breathtaking. Situated on the sunrise side of Afton Mountain, this property sits at 1000 feet in elevation. Enjoy sprawling views of grapevines out your back door and the panoramic mountain view that surrounds them. Please note that the Guest House is located near the Tasting Room.
The property's kitchen is perfectly set up for those wanting to prepare the weekend meals. Equipped with a gas range and stainless steel appliances, this newly renovated kitchen has all the amenities you will need. The kitchen island is beautiful piece made from a stone from Madagascar called "Big Blue," and it really shines at night. Want to take your meal and dine al fresco? The outdoor patio has a table and outdoor seating for four! However, your favorite room in the house may very well be the screened in porch with its stunning views. Here you can sit and sip your morning coffee or evening glass of wine made from the grapes off the vines that fill your view.
The Queen sized master bedroom has its own en suite bath. The master bath has a marble, double sink vanity, tiled walk in shower, and a deep tub perfect for a relaxing soak! The second bedroom is located on the terrace level and features a queen bed and en suite bath as well.
One of the biggest amenities is just steps from your front door. Stroll on over to the Vineyard's tasting room where their knowledgeable staff can tell you about their assortment of wines that they make on site. Afton Mountain Vineyards is one of Virginia's first farm wineries. The original vines were planted in 1978. Those blocks are still in production today, and they now grow a total of 15 varieties on 24 acres.

The team members were especially responsive! Thank you for all the help with questions and planning, especially as our trip approached.
The views were beautiful and the outdoor areas of the cottage were perfect for morning coffees and evening lounging. The location of the property was also perfect for activities around the area - we were able to hike, golf, and visit both vineyards and breweries.

We stayed at the Guest house attached to the Winery. The house was perfect. We enjoyed sitting outside watching the sun set. We cycled the surrounding roads and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. We had complete privacy and quiet. Everything was perfect. Not one single complaint.

Everyone is very professional and friendly! The house is immaculate!
This was my second time to stay in this lovely property. I was there in March to celebrate my 70th birthday and this trip was to celebrate my husband's 70th! The home is beautifully decorated. The screened-in porch is worth the entire stay. We never sat in the living room in the 3 days we were there. We were relaxing on the porch whenever we were at the house, even eating our meals there as well. The views are awesome. My sister-in-law is an artist and she loved painting the vineyard during our stay. It is an artist's dream! The people in the wine tasting room are so friendly and hospitable. We want to make this a yearly destination vacation for us. We live in Maryland and our relatives are in Tennessee. They fell in love with the place and enjoyed it as much as we did! We will definitely be back!

And the wine at Afton Mountain was delightful. Pleasant surprises all round.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The views, the guest house and all its amenities, it was perfect! The only thing that came up was one of the steps leading into the downstairs is not at the same height as the others so you stumble if you're not expecting it.

It was great, everyone was very responsive and helpful!
Our stay overall was so wonderful, the property was beautiful and all of the pictures on the website were completely accurate. The only issue I had was with the downstairs bathroom of the property. In order to have the light on in the bathroom, a "monstrosity" of a fan had to be on at the same time. It was very hard to get ready in the morning because this fan was so loud.

We added on an extra day last minute. It was super easy and the woman who helped us was delightful.
Beautiful cottage that overlooks amazing views of the vineyard. Walking distance to tasting room and only a short drive to other vineyards and breweries. We will definitely be staying here again! We loved it all! It was our honeymoon.

Hilary was fantastic and did a great job with thorough communications and rapid turnaround time on requests. Highly responsive which was great.
One other note - the online booking tool was great as well, made it super easy to book the property and view availability. Significantly better tool than what your competitors offer, so please continue to keep that available.
Excellent property, great communication up front about "need to knows" (e.g., codes for gates, TV controls, check out instructions, etc.). Beautiful house and location.
