The property was excellent and exactly as advertised. It is actually bigger than it looks in the pictures. We had a wonderful stay in the cottage and thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace, grill, reading, and relaxing. Frank and Brenda were amazing hosts and couldn't have been more welcoming.

The screened porch off the master bedroom, and views from the great room, were magnificant! Lots of trees, with no neighbors in sight...absolutely loved the Virginia feel of the whole place! Cozy places to curl up and read or chat with my hubby and daughter...couldn't have been a better environment for our small family.

Reserving cottage was simple and the staff kept in touch with us about payments and travel directions.
Adorable and tastefully decorated cottage 20 minutes outside of Charlottesville. Comfortable and roomy with all the amenities we needed. Bed was very comfortable and the furniture was comfortable as well. Close to the main house yet private. Owners delivered newspaper most mornings. Located in a very quiet neighborhood with lots of trees. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Wonderful and helpful
The screened in porch was the best! When it rained, it was so relaxing to just sit there and listen to the rain on the trees. The library was awesome and we wish we had more time to just read!

Always a pleasure to work with the team at Stay Charlottesville. We won't rent through another company.
The Cabell Cottage is now our go to property when we visit Charlottesville, in fact we've already rebooked for the month of August and imagine we will many other times as our daughter is just finishing her first year at UVA.
The property was impeccable in terms of design and appointments, plus it was spotless, something we put high on our must have list in a vacation rental property. The home's architectural design and all of the interior decoration is done to perfection with charm and eclectic elements. The physical setting is beautiful. The serenity of the location afforded much relaxation and great sleep too, so quiet. Look forward to taking advantage of the lovely screened porch off the master bedroom on our next visit with the warmer summer weather. The ground coffee and the delicious muffins were such a nice surprise. Thank you to the owner's for sharing their very special cottage with us!

Everyone was very responsive and friendly
The Cabbell Cottage is really a special place. We've stayed at many vacation rental properties and this one really stands out. It is a very beautiful home, clean, with lots of amenities including a fireplace with kindling and firewood ready to go, well furnished, beautiful wood floors, great views of the woods all around, a very comfortable bed, lots of daylight. The owners clearly put a great deal of care into the house. It's next to the owner's house but we felt it was very private. The drive from UVA takes about 20 minutes but it is a beautiful - breathtaking really - drive. Just a very attractive and cozy place in a beautiful setting.
