Historically renovated and completed in 2013, this 3rd floor walk-up apartment represents what locals love- history and the Downtown Mall. With its original heart pine floors, this apartment boast quality and craftsmanship with features like two decorative fireplaces, granite counters, 7 ft tall windows overlooking the Mall, and 9 ft ceilings. The one bedroom apartment is perfect as a pied-à-terre, and is just blocks away from four theaters featuring live performances in dance, theater, and live music. World class dining is at your doorstep, and parking is included with the home allowing you to enjoy strolling the Historic Downtown Mall.
The location can't be beat in the middle of the downtown action! We like to note to future guests that this is a popular area (especially on the weekends) and the noise level on the Downtown Mall may be higher particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Fantastic property with high ceilings and nice architectural detail (arched windows and old hardwood floors) nice real grand piano and well decorated. Faces the mall promenade which can occasionally have street music playing (you will hear it) but be is in back side so not annoying. Walk up three flights stairs but its worth it. Photos do not show how open kitchen it is but really nice flow and good location for walking to everything in downtown Cville.

Always a pleasure.
We enjoyed this property very much. I was a little worried that it might be a bit loud in the evening but we had no problems with sound and enjoyed the convenience of it.
Loved the location and the interior of the property was very nice & comfortable. I liked that it had a bath tub along with a large glass enclosed shower in the second bathroom. Both were extremely clean and well appointed.
The kitchen was very nice but limited in housewares but not a problem for us since we went out to eat most nights. It worked just fine for morning coffee and a quick breakfast or a light lunch.
We would definitely book this property again.

Originally made error with online reservation but one phone call later, all was cleared up. Very helpful team.
Wonderful property and location. Had everything we could ask for - appliances in kitchen, washer/dryer, two bathrooms, ample comfortable seating, paino was a nice bonus. While apartment is on 3rd floor, this did not bother us (both in our late 50's). Convenient location - so much within walking distance as well as easy driving distance. Walked to UVA but took free trolley back; all easy to navigate. Utilized Visitor's Center and got great help and advice.

Absolutely wonderful. Hillary was very helpful when we booked the property and was even able to show us the place in advance of our stay to make sure we really loved it. The onsite staff member was also excellent - we had a slight issue with the lock one night but she was able to come to the apt and fix the issue within 15 minutes.
This place is gorgeous and very conveniently located to everything. Fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, a sizable closet...and you can't beat the location! My husband and I actually stayed here for our wedding weekend and we found the place quite romantic. Highly recommend!

Hilary was a real delight and answered all of my emails and calls with great efficiency!
My partner and I recently moved to Charlottesville from the UK and we chose to stay in Old Met #306 for 2 weeks while we found more permanent accommodation. After missed and cancelled flights and a long journey, walking into this property was such a relief! The property is spacious, stylish and overlooks the Downtown Mall which was very convenient for us. There are 2 bathrooms which was a real treat and I loved playing on the grand piano! There are 3 flights of stairs up to the apartment with no lift, and while this wasn't really a problem for us, it may impact those with very heavy suitcases or the elderly. We really enjoyed our 2 weeks here, thank you Stay Charlottesville for making our first couple of weeks so comfortable!

Hilary's attention to my 18 million questions was great - her patience in explaining the process for ordering groceries and quick response to my struggles to get the Relay website to allow me to order wine was exceptional.
Old Met #306 was a great 'home base' for a week-long getaway with a dear friend from college. We were conveniently located within the downtown area, which made exploration and getting a 'feel' for the city easy for two out-of-towners. The size was perfect for two of us, we found it especially nice to have two showers. While small, the kitchen was functional and made meal-making relatively easy. The master bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. The noise each night was highly varied from the concert venue across the way, but it wasn't prohibitive (we might have felt different if we were there on the weekend though).
